Currently based in the beautiful Peak District, Derbyshire, England, Megan studied for a degree in Illustration and Design at Liverpool John Moores University, the fruition of a lifelong passion for design, art and creating. She has successfully worked on briefs for a variety of clients, most recently The National Trust and The Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust.
Megan is inspired by her travels, patterns, nature and a love for fashion and design; particularly 1960s illustration, Scandinavian & mid-century design. These influences can often be found in her work alongside creative use of texture, pattern and colour. Megan also has a flair for fashion and figure drawing and creates beautiful live portraits at a variety of events.
The name Studio Maarit comes from translation of a translation of the name Megan into Finnish.
